Hello HAPARI Girls! Ready to kick the new year off with a healthy start? You may have seen or heard posts all over social media regarding Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide or BBG. We are here to tell you all about Kayla, her BBG program, as well as how to take the #12WeekChallenge along with us!
Who is Kayla Itsines?
Kayla Itsines is a personal trainer from Australia and the creator of the Bikini Body Guide program. She grew her fan base primarily through social media and now has over 6 million followers on Instagram. Most of her growth has been through sharing her followers incredible transformations through using her workout program. Kayla serves as the spokesperson for her company and regularly posts videos of her completing the workout circuits and giving motivation to all the women completing her guides.
What is BBG?
BBG stands for Kayla’s Bikini Body Guide Program. Each guide consists of 12 weeks of circuit workouts, high intensity interval training, and low intensity steady state cardio. These guides can be accessed in PDF form for weeks 1-24 or on Kayla’s new app “Sweat”.
Why do so many women love BBG?
The selling point of Kayla’s guides are that the resistance workouts only take 30 minutes to complete and can be done at home!
What is the #12WeekChallenge?
Since Kayla’s BBG following has grown, many members of her community have banded together to support one another in their health journey. Kayla decided to create a challenge for those old and new to BBG to start the journey together. For 2017, the #12WeekChallenge started on January 9th with thousands of women around the world starting Week 1, Day 1 of the guides.
