Ruffle Bandeau Bikini, Twist Tankini & Twist Bikini in Emerald Green are coming soon!

What do we love? We love style. We love grace. And we LOVE adding a little spice to our traditional weekend.

Thanks to the fearless fashionistas that inspire us to wear neons and brights with denim on denim, we feel ever so inspired to think about how we too can take a more traditional wardrobe staple and make it new again. We are obsessed with color this season and Emerald is one of THE colors to write home about. The best part is that Emerald looks great on everyone and is easy to accessorize with either bold statement pieces, like a chunky, turquoise necklace or something as simple as gold bangles and cute pair of stud earrings. Don’t think you can pull off such a powerful color? We know you can! Just follow the fashion and buy the style that adds flavor to your fit and wear it with your head held high! This is why we are digging our new emerald suits for the season. In a variety of fits, this color brings out the inner confidence in such a way we just had to share them early…that’s right, they are on their way!

These suits are coming soon! Be the first to show your confidence in this stunning new swimwear from Hapari! We honestly love this color and plan on rocking our wayfarer sunglasses, some chunky wedges and a long gold necklace to the sandy shores this season.

Not only does this color favor blondes and brunettes alike, but it can work for all skin tones and is uniquely you every time you put it on. Emerald is a power color. It exudes confidence without care, but lends itself to almost any other color as a compliment or dominant piece in your wardrobe. Shouldn’t we see ourselves with such beauty? With such style and influence you are the color of the season and you are the trend this summer. How will you spice up your life (and wardrobe!) and exude confidence when you lose the cover-up, hit the surf and let your true colors shine…

Here’s to one #HotHapariSummer ;)

The First of Our Hapari Swimwear 2013 Collection

Friday, March 1st, 2013

It’s a new year, which brings a new collection of 2013 Hapari suits! This year we gave it our all to give you your all in each suit.

In addition to adding new prints to styles that have proved comfortable, supportive, and flattering, we have added a couple new styles that we hope will blow you away and land you on a beach, looking fabulous in your new Hapari suit.

OUR FAVORITE NEW TANKINI STYLES!

One of our favorite new designs is our Drawstring Tankini. It’s got the support of our traditional Tankinis & Bikinis, but has the option to pull down into a dress for when you want a little more coverage; great for the beach and the snackbar. The length is not the only thing you can change to fit your mood, the tankini also comes with the signature three-way strap styling so you don’t get stuck with one tan line. You can sport a halter, a criss-cross or a tank, and depending on how you’re feeling pull the neckline higher or cinch it lower. And you can pair it with any bottoms you want.

We love this trendy asymmetrical style. Without compromising on support, the one shoulder strap brings a new element to a classy swimsuit, not to mention looks fabulous on. This modest tankini comes with a removable second strap, if you need that extra boost or just like the look. It is featured in a range of prints, which means you can pair it with a swim skirt bottom and be the belle of the beach or go for our Tummy Tuk bottoms and rock the fit, sporty style. The beach is your oyster.

OUR FAVORITE NEW SWIMWEAR PRINTS!

There are simply too many to pick just one favorite, so we’ll share a few.

Our Paradise print, featured below in our Seaside Bandeau Tankini style, offers bright blues and purples that go perfectly with the beach. It will make you look like you belong nestled in the water, because let’s face it you do. The hues add dimension to the suit and stand out against your skin. The print follows the promise of a tropical pattern trend we see on the 2013 horizon.

Sticking with the bright blue and vibrant purple we love so much, we brought the colors together in a different way, to create an entirely new visual. The Cancun print features purple flowers against the background of a brilliant blue sky and a subtle but sophisticated black trim. Available in a plus size tankini as well.

On a different color note we have introduced our Lemon Dream Tankini, a pattern which pairs yellow and charcoal grey in a floral ensemble that looks sporty, fun and sexy all at the same time.

Finally, our Sydney print pops with all the colors that we think represent the best of Sydney. By that we mean we drew inspiration from the ocean, the sky, the sun, strawberry smoothies, Sunday mornings, beach towels and volleyballs. We wanted to bring you a print that to us, spells fun.

All of these prints come with the support and comfort that is readily associated with Hapari’s modest and flattering swimwear. The styles include a multitude of strap options as well as soft cups, which allow for Illusions inserts, and an array of bottoms to pair with.

Lead 2013 by the hand with a fabulous swimsuit that emphasizes the curves you love and hides the ones you don’t.

Most Popular Swimsuit Prints & Designs of 2012

Wednesday, December 5th, 2012

We always enjoy discussing fashion trends and our favorite trends always seem to include swimsuits. This year we were delighted at the most popular prints and designs to grace 2012 and felt that these popular choices represented the swimming, stylish women of the world perfectly. With three prints and three designs to suit all body types and swimming needs, we just had to share these fantastic suits with you.

Prints

A print on a swimsuit can turn it from a humdrum suit to trend setting, head turning, and statement making beachwear. The swimsuit  prints of 2012 are ferociously stylish and popular in so many ways, as this year women celebrate being wild with animal prints, stand out with geometric designs and glam it up with classy stripe prints.

Animal

The animal print is in this year with wild designs of cheetahs, leopards and pythons. Women all over the world have embraced their wild side with these head turning suits. Did we mention all of these prints fit perfectly with the wavy and wild beach hair styles we’ve seen lately?

Geometrical

The geometrical print is a fashion statement for the fashion forward and trend setting beach goer. We’ve seen sharp modern lines, triangles and even circle patterned prints that will make sunbathers think you’re a fashion conscious celebrity out for a day the beach. We’ve seen plenty of celebrities pair geometrical printed suits with high ponytail hair styles and blunt cut bangs, completing this fashionable look.

Designs

These swimsuit designs of 2012 are a perfect combination of classic elegance, femininity and edgy style and it’s no wonder they are the most popular designs of 2012.

Ruffle

The ruffle design has been popular for 2012 because of its feminine yet sporty quality. A ruffle suit is eye-catching, sweet and sassy all at once and we’ve seen ruffles on bikini tops and bottoms together, separately and on sarongs. Ruffled suits have been paired with gorgeous curly hair styles and bangle bracelets to complete the sassy beach style.

Retro

Retro swimsuit designs are in for 2012 and they present a classic elegance that is uncommon at the beach. Girls are sporting adorable bandeau tops inspired by 1950’s suits and are able to pull off a sexy, sophisticated beach look that is one-of-a-kind and timeless all at once. We’ve seen women all over the world sporting these inspired suits with 1940’s and 50’s wavy pinned up hair styles.

Solid Colors

Women all over the world love the solid color look and so do we. These suits offer a simple and classy style that when paired with an interesting cut or fit, steals the show! Solid prints have and will always be a classic look for swimwear styles.

Also, we are so excited to mention that the most popular men’s suit this year is our very own Captains Quarters which come in print and plain styles with comfortable support for every man’s swimming needs.

No matter your body type or personal style, 2012’s most popular designs and prints allow women to find the perfect popular suit for them.

Get Comfort and Support

No other suit on the market (especially board shorts) gives men the comfort and support necessary for comfortable swimming. Wearing briefs under a swimsuit can be uncomfortable and board shorts can have a rough texture. Luckily, the designers at Hapari have created the Captains Quarters athletic compression swim shorts. These shorts offer form fitting comfort and relief that can’t be found anywhere else.

The Captains Quarters shorts can be worn under board shorts or alone as swimwear. These revolutionary shorts are also comfortable to walk in, whether wet or dry and tend to dry very quickly. The Hapari designers have tailored these shorts with a super soft and satin-like lightweight material that prevents chaffing and allows men to throw out those uncomfortable briefs and enjoy swimming again. The material used is so soft that many men wear the Captains Quarters compression short under board shorts, jeans, dress pants, shorts and athletic wear. These fantastic shorts also come in a variety of styles and have been a huge success among NFL players and pro surfers alike. The tight compression short is ideal for surfers wanting to remain hydrodynamic in the water and football players don’t have to worry about uncomfortable under garments while on the field.

Whether worn under clothing or used as swimwear, these compression shorts are full of form fitting comfort, soft texture and personal style.

5 Ways to Look Your Best in a Swimsuit

Wednesday, November 28th, 2012

In 2012, the top three resolutions for the New Year were to were to “live life to the fullest,” “eat healthy and stay fit” and lastly, the number one resolution was to lose weight. As the holidays approach us once again, many women and men have those same resolutions on their mind and those resolutions all lead to looking great in a swimsuit when swimsuit season rolls around. Preparation to look good in a swimsuit starts now and to help with that goal, here are 5 easy ways to look good in a swimsuit.

Eat Healthy

Eating healthy is always the most important key to losing weight and looking fit, especially in a swimsuit. To look your best, many doctors and weight loss professionals recommend cutting out dairy and salt intake, or at least reducing it. Dairy can lead to trouble digesting foods which in turn leads to gas and bloating, which not only makes one feel like they look less than their best, but is not what is needed to look great at the beach.

Eating less salt reduces water retention as well as bloating, so cutting back a little will help you look your best in a swimsuit. Watch out for sodium intake in unexpected places, such as processed and pre-packaged foods.

Posture

Good posture has a way of making us feel and look lean and fantastic in a swimsuit. Research has shown that those with good posture are perceived as more confident, taller, in better behavior and more attractive than those without good posture. Body language expert, Patti Wood suggests that while sitting at the beach, to sit with your knees up. “Not only does it lift the fat off your thighs, it also draws eyes to your upper body and knees, creating a slim line.”

Drink Water

Drinking water is essential to good health, weight loss and looking good. Drinking plenty of water can make skin luminescent, reduce fatigue and defeat water retention, which all make a body look fantastic in a swimsuit.

Pick a Swimsuit that Flatters Your Body

Each body is shaped different and looks different in different types of swimsuits. A swimsuit that flatters your body can make a person both look and feel their best. Current swimsuit trends have revealed several different swimsuits for all body types, making looking good an easy job on the beach.

Live and Active Lifestyle

Working out is essential to looking good and a fun way to work out a beach body is hula hooping. It can burn calories, as much as 600 an hour and works the abdominal muscles for the perfect bikini abs. For quick and good results, try this fun workout for an hour a day, a few times a week.

5 Signs a Swimsuit May Not Do Well During Active Use

Monday, November 12th, 2012

image of pink and brown cheetah sport tankini

Swimsuits often toe the line of being used as active swimwear and as cute clothing. Our Hapari swimsuits can easily do both, allowing the wearers to be fashion forward while playing in the waves… while other swim wear can spell disaster for the wearer caught in an active moment. To help our readers find that balance, here are 5 signs that a swimsuit may not work well for or during active use.

It’s an Itsy-Bitsy Bikini

A too small swimsuit can sometimes leave the active woman feeling  a little self-conscious but also can cause problems while playing in the waves, digging up a volleyball on the beach and pretty much any other active beach goings-on. Swimwear that is too small can easily fall down, show peak-a-boo moments and leave the wearer so embarrassed they may never want to swim. Small bikinis can be cute and are great for a laid-back sunny day, but you may want to reconsider if you’re planning on being extremely active.

It’s  Strapless or Hanging by a Thread

Swimsuits that are strapless or tie onto a body are adorable but may not always be the best for the diving board, sandy beaches, surfing, or intense play in the water. Some swimsuits have ties but aren’t necessarily held on by the strings. These are the swim suits to get for a fashionable and logical swimming look. The suits that are held on by ties can easily become loose and result in an embarrassing moment. For the active woman a string swimming suit can easily come untied during a game of volleyball or when you hit that perfect wave! Keep this in mind.

Its Low –Cut

For active swimmers, a low cut swim suit not only produces drag, effecting your speed in the water, but also tends to slide downward, revealing some body parts you may not want revealed. One trend of celebrity swimsuits is an extremely low cut center in the swimsuit. This may look stylish but can cause a lot of accidents if the wearer is planning on actually swimming or moving around.

So Many Holes You Don’t Know Which One is For Your Head

The trend of Monokinis (a single swimsuit with cutout sections) is in this year but isn’t the best type of swimwear for active beach and pool goers. The cut out sections, not only leave it a little hard to figure out how to put the swimsuit on, but also leaves plenty of spots for potential ripping or unwanted showing of the body.

Its Old and Wearing Thin

Less fashionable and more comfortable, an old swimsuit may be ideal of beach and water activities, if it is in good condition. If it is thin in places, turning a little see-through or has small holes, it is time to throw the suit out. Wearing it one more time could mean embarrassing ripping and moments for the wearer.

Swimwear for Beach and Water Activities

Here at Hapari, we are proud to provide stylish and logical swimwear for the fashion forward and active beach and pool goers. If you are looking for a new swimsuit that fits your needs, we suggest looking in the market of our high quality bikinis, tankinis and sport swimwear. Equally as fashionable as trendy swimwear, these suits come with adorable ruffles, prints and designs made to help the wearer look their best, be fashionable and be able to participate in the more active activities on the beach or in the pool.

It’s that time again—let’s take a look at some of our favorite funny, clever, or on-trend swimwear-related tweets people have been buzzing about recently on Twitter. We love talking about swimwear, and so does the social media-verse!

Marie Claire fashion director and project runway judge Nina Garcia says that a sarong is an essential beachside accessory. We couldn’t agree more! While we haven’t tried to wear ours as a turban, who are we to argue with a fashion icon?

New York Daily News gives us a fascinating look into the evolution of the Olympic swimsuit. As of London 2012, there are strict regulations for what swimmers can and can’t wear—the suit must be made of fabric and cannot go past a certain length. Check it out!

Speaking of Olympic swimwear, there are some people who are lamenting the fact that the USA swim team’s gear is not more patriotic. While plain black is classic, it doesn’t do the job of conveying the swimmer’s nationality very well.

Who knows? Maybe you’ll see something suitable in Hapari’s swim line for next year.

One more tweet from the Olympics—have you seen the United States’ swim team’s rendition of “Call Me Maybe”? It’s pretty funny.

On a side note, congratulations to Michael Phelps, Missy Franklin, and all the other swimmers who represented the United States in the Olympics this summer. You’re fantastic!
